This is wonderful! So many things to love.

  • The victory animation, level select screen and the selector spotlight for picking a factory all have beautiful style.
  • The rewind effect looks amazing.
  • The puzzle difficulty is spot on, with easy puzzles never outstaying their welcome and with hard puzzles tough but manageable.
  • The connection between the last five or six levels really makes it feel like it's building to a climax.
  • The rank system makes for a really fun optimisation.

About the only things that didn't feel intuitive were around scenarios where there's no move available, e.g. being unable to drive to a blocked factory or the finicky details of the radio tower, and I think they only stand out because the rest of the game makes everything so clear and obvious.

I think level 34 was the only one where I felt like I was just brute-forcing all the options. For whatever reason I just found it very hard to reason about even though I understood the mechanics.

Think I played up to about level 30 optimising for S rank as I went, then began to leave levels to come back for later. I really enjoyed the increasingly oppressive atmosphere through the end of the game, the way the roads full of police linked up between levels, and especially the final two-parter level made for a great sense of building up to a final victory. I particularly enjoyed optimising the last level - it's great when it finally clicks in place.

The amount of polish and love put into this game is amazing. Well done, and thank you. Definitely one of my favourite Pico 8 games!

I got there eventually! It's really hard to get good at duels 4 and 5. This isn't much of a tip but it helped me so it's in rot13:

All the art is superb. I really like Damsel's expression immediately after you outdraw her.

This is really beautiful! I afraid I don't have the reactions or the patience to get past the 4th one though. I managed it once in maybe seven attempts and pretty predictably died on the 5th one. It's pretty dispiriting to wait through all the animations again after knowing you were too slow when you're sure you shot as quickly as you could. I'll give it a few more tries tomorrow. I want to see that ending!

Delightful game! I found it on Pico 8 splore as a featured game. Great work!

Beautiful, elegant and surprising. I like that the player avatar is chaotic - a source of entropy.

I struggled but I got there. I didn't read carefully and thought the pliers were wirecutters. Oops. I noticed that if you play again immediately your time just gets added on to your previous attempt.

Lovely game! Didn't quite get to the end but I really enjoyed it. Will try to finish it later.

It's very lovely! Some early feedback: I can't use a Nintendo Switch Pro controller connected by USB - for some reason it thinks I'm constantly mashing buttons. I'm also having trouble getting it to recognise a wireless XBox 360 controller - it worked once but doesn't seem to anymore. Does it assume there's only one controller, perhaps? I have other devices (a keyboard and mouse) that _can_ function as controllers but are mostly not useful for playing games. Lastly, is there any way to disable mouse capture? Or at least release it when in a menu?
